Website Promotion and SEO Tips

Hey guys. My name is Irina and I am an author of this site. I have a few years of experience in creating SEO-friendly websites for both my clients and myself, so here I'm going to share some tips with anyone who is interested in SEO and website promotion.

Making a seo-friendly website is not that difficult. Once you get the basic rules, creating pages that are optimizied for Google becomes a habit.

Some people argue that SEO is not important or that there are better ways to attract traffic.
Well, of course, when you don't rank high in search engines or rank high for the wrong keywords, you have no idea of the benefits of hitting the top 10 in Google for the relevant search terms.

For those who confuse SEO with what's called 'black hat SEO' I have to say: "You are confusing the 2 things!" :)
SEO is not about spamming, repeating keywords like mantras or hiding text. The fact the some guys are lousy optimizers doesn't mean the whole concept is wrong.

Don't worry, I'm not going to push any "kickass SEO tips" books or DVDs on you here. This site is more like a blog, and I prefer monetizing it with context ads. I may recommend some useful resources that offer paid services, but only if I really find them valuable and worth looking at. In fact, I myself sometimes use paid services like for example for extra links building or content writing (for my clients websites on topics I know little about).

Oh yeah, about the rather long domain name I've picked for myself (WebsitePromotionSeoTips.com). It is because having keywords in it makes it easier to promote. I'm too lazy to miss an opportunity of having a seo-friendly domain name.
